About
I'm interested in how places are represented (in the world, in our minds, in memories) and how our sense of identity is affected by those representations. Places are unstable things. Borders move, neighborhoods transform, landscapes erode. Identity that is rooted in place is rooted in something constantly changing. My work traces parallel instability in the media we choose to represent these places: from photography to film to video to satellite imaging to 3D rendering. Each technology promises fidelity only to deliver transformation.
